Reviews for this Album

Allison's debut album, Just Like You, is a good starting point for her career. Though it won't win any album of the year awards, there are some really fun and emotional songs to listen to. Allison irresistible raspy voice and delightful squeaks are present in almost all the song, and makes rather cliche lyrics in songs like "No One Else" and "Friday" delightful. It's just disappointing that some of these songs are just filler. The album would really have benefited if the writers and directors could have put a little more effort into this album.

That's not to say there aren't creative songs is this album. "D is For Dangerous" is a very catchy song where we hear about the A,B,C of Ms. Iraheta's love interest, and "Robot Love" is a cute tale about a boyfriend who'd rather snuggle a cell-phone than his girlfriend. "Holiday" is another great pop/rock tune, even if she got the song second-hand. And "Beat Me Up" will have you singing along with it, even if you're on the fence about the lyrics.

The album also is complimented by a few good ballads. "Scars" is an amazingly raw song and "Pieces" is one of the albums best songs. "No One Else" and "Trouble Is" are also fine, but don't quite reach the same height as Scars or Pieces.

Overall, this album is a great, if a bit cliche debut for Allison. If you like Allison, pop/rock or a fun album, I'd recommend it!

8.5/10

L.O.V.E this album! It really inspired me to achive what I want to achive in life. TO KEEP ON MOVING!

i love every one of the songs on the album and cant wait for her future albums i frillin love her!! <3

Allison's new record is a great debut and is oddly cohesive despite the multiple producers and songwriters who were behind it. The current single "Friday I'll Be Over U" is a very catchy song but it has some edge to it. Some fans were a bit disappointed in the record label for this lead-off single. Despite the pop influences on this album, most of the songs have quite a bit of character to them and some rock edge. A few tracks really seem to stand out. "Don't Waste the Pretty" is a great anthem especially for some her younger fans. It has a great message and is very addictive. She has a few songs where she just rocks out, in particular "Holiday." This song has some incredible vocals and sounds like a cross between Kelly Clarkson and Pink.

There are a few ballads on the album that show off her tender side also. "Scars" shows off her lower register and is lyrically interesting. In this song, Allison shows an emotional maturity far beyond her years. One still has to remind themselves that she is only 17. Another great ballad is "Trouble Is" where she also shows a vulnerability that just draws the listener in.

Overall, this record is a fantastic debut for Idol's latest rocker. Allison will have a fantastic future in music. This album is definitely worth purchasing because it is a collection of some great songs by s phenomenal artist.

Great album! I'm expecting it to do very well and I'm expecting a lot more albums in the future. She is a great singer and she has a very bright future ahead of her.

I've only listened to her hit song, "Friday I'll Be Over U", but I think that the song here is a good start to a great album. Her music has potential and she'll be just as popular as Adam Lambert.

This album is amaazing! Listening to it now and absolutely love it!

i think its a great album. shes an awesome singer.

i really fell in love with her album !
i was a little disappointed after hearing the first single because it was not what i was hoping, but after listening to all the tracks i even started to love " friday i'll be over you ".
so, the first track - fibou - not for my taste but i really liked the video for it. it's fun to watch!
" robot love " - in the same line with fibou for me. so i don't think it shows allison's voice to well.
so except the first 2 songs i love all the other tracks.
my favorites are " don't waste the pretty ", " scars ", " holiday " and " trouble is ". i keep listening to these ones ever since i got the album.
and when i got to hear allison doing some of the songs in acoustic versions to different radio stations i realized that i would buy the album all over again if she made an acoustic version for it !!!!

so i think allison has a special and beautiful voice that suites her personality and also a great stage presence. she is great and i wish her success and i hope to get to hear her someday live !!!
